Ear is an UDP multicasting audio streaming with record capabilities. All the settings are hard coded. Ear use the PCM mono audio format at 11025 Hz and the UDP multicasting IP protocol for networking. The multicasting group use the 225.58.4.25 IP address and port number 5000. The TTL parameter is set to 10. A graph bar show the audio level of your microphone. Ear is an ideal hands free tool for working in a LAN.
